What to expect from Hypnotherapy
The idea of hypnotherapy maybe a little scary, but it is nothing like TV – hypnosis is a very relaxing experience during which you are fully aware of your surroundings and in control of your actions. I like to start my sessions with a chat to find out more about you and your reason for coming in, then once comfortable, we will move ahead to the hypnosis. Through talking, I will guide you through your subconscious where you will be able to visualise memories and yourself in certain situations – as if you were daydreaming.
How many sessions will I need?
Hypnotherapy can be a fast and effective treatment and you may find relief from your problems after a single one hour session, but it depends on what you want to focus on and also the underlying causes. I can generally work through less complex issues like confidence building and some phobias in one session, but more complex matters such as anxiety and panic are likely to need more, maybe 2–3, but this will all be discussed in your first session.
